Journaling Prompts to End the Year with Intention - Reflect, Celebrate, and Grow.

As we approach the end of the year, it's the perfect time to pause, reflect, and acknowledge and honour everything that has unfolded on your path over the past twelve months.


The highs, the lows, the challenges, and the triumphs – they all weave together to create the tapestry of your life and to guide you to exactly where you need to be.
Through this reflection, you not only celebrate your journey but also pave the way for growth and intention as we step into a new year.

You will likely find that journaling enables you to process your experiences, uncover hidden lessons, and set purposeful intentions.

Here are some prompts to guide your reflection and help you carry the best version of yourself into the year ahead.

Achievements:

    • What things did you accomplish this year that you are proud of?

    • Which goals did you achieve that once felt out of reach?

Stepping out of your comfort zone:

    • When did you take a leap of faith or challenge yourself in a way that felt uncomfortable?

    • What did you learn about yourself from those moments?

New connections and inspiration:

    • What new friends or connections did you make this year?

    • How have these relationships impacted your life and/or inspired you?

    • What did you learn from these people?

    • How did their influence shift your perspective or actions? Have you adopted new actions, hobbies or routines?

Skills and Growth:

    • What new skills or knowledge did you gain this year?

    • How have these skills enriched your life or opened new doors?

 

Cultivating Gratitude and Growth..

Gratitude:

    • What are you most grateful for this year?

    • Who are the people who supported you, and how can you express your appreciation to them?

Lessons learned:

    • What challenges did you face this year, and what lessons did they teach you?

    • How have these lessons shaped who you are today?

 

Intentions for the Year Ahead…

Mindset Shifts:

    • What limiting beliefs or thought patterns would you like to let go of?

    • What empowering beliefs or mindsets do you want to embrace moving forward?

Vision for Yourself:

    • Who do you want to be in the new year?

    • What habits, routines, or practices will help you embody that version of yourself?

    • What non-negotiables will you set for yourself?

Intention setting:

    • What is one word or phrase that captures the energy you want to bring into the new year?

    • What specific intentions or goals feel aligned with this vision?

    • What are your top 5 values that you are going to live by this year – allowing them to guide your actions, decisions, words, thoughts and energy?

 

 

Take a moment to sit with your journal entries and reflect on your year. Notice the recurring themes, the growth you’ve experienced, and the opportunities ahead.

As you move into the new year, remember that you are ever evolving, ever learning, ever growing.
You can achieve everything you desire when you pair your clear vision with aligned action, and a positive mindset and move through each day with a heart filled with abundance and gratitude.
