3 Actions and Mindsets to have Your Best Year Yet in 2024!
Embrace the new year with intention, purpose, and mindfulness to cultivate and live the year of your dreams!
Do you have a list of goals and wishes you would love to see manifest in this new year?
Do you have habits that you want to set for yourself and actually stick to?
The power to live your dream life, achieve all your goals and stick to all your resolutions lies within your hands.
Your dream life exists for you now.
You just need to tune into it by aligning your energy and actions to draw it to you.
Live a year filled with fortune, abundance, and gratitude and watch your dream life unfold for you.
Here are 3 essential steps to manifest the year you desire:
1. Live with Intention:
Living intentionally means showing up, doing the work and living with purpose.
Each action holds significance in shaping your reality.
Be deliberate in your actions and let intention guide your path.
Aligned actions…
· Daily Goal Setting: Start each day or week by setting achievable goals.
Outline what you wish to accomplish and the steps required to achieve them.
Highlight your priorities. And highlight the quick simple tasks to do them first to get them out of the way.
· Create a Vision Board: A vision board serves as a tangible reminder of your intentions and motivates you towards your goals.
Print out pictures, write yourself notes and draw pictures of the things you want to achieve and pin them on your board.
Make it visible and beautiful so you can clearly see what your goals will physically look like and feel like as you draw them to you.
Place it somewhere you can see it for determination, particularly for days when you are feeling low or unmotivated — it will serve as inspiration and remind you of your why.
· Mindful Practices: Engage in activities that align with your intentions.
For instance, if your intention is to be more calm and present with those around you, incorporate meditation or yoga into your daily routine, or practice active listening.
If you want to learn a new skill or switch your profession, start by reading books on the topics, spend time with people who currently work in that role, or enrol yourself in short courses.
2. Remain aware and mindful:
Where attention goes, energy flows.
Focus on what you want in life rather than what you don’t.
Direct your energy towards your aspirations, allowing positivity and abundance to expand.
Aligned actions…
· Gratitude Journaling: Take a few minutes in the morning or evening to write down the things you are grateful for in your day or in your life at the moment.
Taking a moment to reflect on and appreciate the fortune you have in your life, stops you from ruminating on the past or worrying about the future and instead shifts your focus to the good.
When you are grateful for what you have, more things will come to you to be grateful for.
· Selective Attention: Focus on positive aspects rather than dwelling on negatives.
Shift your perspective towards solutions and opportunities rather than problems. If you are faced will a problem, can you shift your perspective to see it as a learning opportunity?
If it’s a problem you can fix; great, fix it.
If it’s something out of your control; accept it and let it go.
You can’t move forward if you’re carrying the baggage and negative energy of something you can’t control.
· Mindful Breathing Exercises: Engage in breathing exercises to ground yourself in the present moment and let go of stress and fear.
Techniques like box breathing, gentle beath holds on your exhalation, or mindful meditation on your breath can help calm your thinking mind and settle your nervous system.
Sometimes you may find yourself ‘too busy’, overwhelmed, or anxious to the point where you are not prioritising time to complete your new habits or engage in aligned actions to help you achieve your goals.
If you catch yourself in this space, these breathing techniques are great for bringing you out of your head and into your body.
You can then take a moment to reflect on your why and take a few minutes out of your day to think about your vision board and your goals and schedule time for your habits in your week.
3. Stay Present:
Avoid dwelling on the past or obsessing over the future.
Only the present moment has the power to transform your state of consciousness so that you can manifest the life of your dreams.
Aligned actions…
· Mindfulness in Daily Tasks: Fully immerse yourself in each activity you do.
Whether you’re cooking, watching tv, working, reading, walking or spending quality with a friend, try to concentrate on that single task and moment.
Try to avoid dividing your attention.
When your focus is within the present, you notice and appreciate the small moments that you may otherwise take for granted.
· Mindful Listening: Practice active listening during conversations.
Give your full attention to the person speaking without distractions or preconceiving your thoughts and responses.
· Sensory Awareness: Engage your senses in the present moment.
Take note of the things you can see, hear, smell, taste, and feel to anchor yourself in the now, and again, notice those small, beautiful moments that you may often take for granted.
“What the future holds for you depends on your state of consciousness now.”
Embrace this year by living deliberately, focusing on positive intentions, and staying present.
These actions and mindset shifts are starting points that you can personalise to fit your lifestyle and goals.
Consistent practice and dedication to these actions will pave the way towards living your dream year and creating the life you envision!
